During the Dive Against Debris® Diver Specialty course, you’ll learn how ocean plastic and trash cleanups not only keep your local dive sites healthier, but also how to contribute to a global database that documents our planet’s marine debris problem. Under the guidance of your instructor, you’ll participate in a Dive Against Debris survey and turn your passion for the underwater world into real action.

Details:

  • Must be at least 10 yrs old to participate.
  • Must hold a minimum of PADI Open Water Certification (or equivalent from another agency).

 You'll perform 1 dives and learn:

  • How to identify which objects should and shouldn’t be removed from the water
  • How to conduct a survey: sort, record and report the marine debris you collect
  • How to contribute to PADI AWARE Foundation’s global database

Duration: 1 Day

Cost: $180

The course cost includes the eLearning, all course tuition, and your certification fees and eCard. Does not include personal gear consisting of scuba rated mask, snorkel, fins and boots and scuba kit rental gear needed (Wetsuit, BCD, Regulator, Computer, Tanks & Weights).
