The PADI Open Water Referral Course is a great idea for those who may not have the time to complete a full certification locally or prefer to finish up their course at their vacation destination. Complete your course work and confined water training with us, and complete your open water checkout dives while on vacation with another dive operator.

• Must be at least 10yrs old to participate.
• You need adequate swimming skills.
• You need to be in good physical health.
• No prior experience with scuba is necessary.

The course consists of 3 main phases:

• Knowledge Development: We use PADI's online eLearning system which takes the place of the textbook, allowing students the flexibility to complete at their own pace. The eLearning takes 10-12 hours to complete and engages students with videos, dialogue and text. The eLearning must be completed before the first day of class.

• Classroom: You will come to a class session typically the Thursday evening before your weekend session to take a final quiz, learn how to use dive computers, and learn how to assemble and disassemble your gear. You'll also learn some basics on how to care for the gear while it is in your possession. This class generally runs for 2-3 hours.

• Confined Water Training: Skill Development in the Pool - This is where you will learn how to dive safely and competently in Confined Water. You will master key skills that you will use while diving in the real world. The confined water will generally take place over the course of 2 pool sessions and typically consists of 4-5 hours each session (Total confined water time is 8-10 hrs).

The final step in the certification process, Open Water Checkout Dives, are then done at a PADI Dive Shop of your choosing while on your vacation. No Limits Scuba can provide the dive shop with your training completion details to enable them to complete the last step in your training.

The course cost includes the PADI eLearning, all the scuba kit rental gear (Wetsuit, BCD, Regulator, Computer, Tanks & Weights), all course tuition (Over 20 hrs of instruction), and your certification fees and eCard (Good for Life). The course does not include personal gear consisting of scuba rated mask, snorkel, fins and boots. All Students receive 10% off gear purchased in the shop and includes a personal fitting.
